I'm Laura, & I'm a creative virtual assistant providing remote support & services for small creative business owners.

But, most importantly... I like herbal tea, surfing in my bikini, filling my house with plants, second-hand clothing, saving the planet and smiling at dogs.

Kelp Collective creative and innovative strategies

I created Kelp Collective creative virtual assistant agency to provide innovative strategies & solutions to help small creative businesses grow.

With years of experience working for thriving creative industries, I understand the demands that business owners face. There is not enough time in the day to do everything you need to do!

That's where I come in.

I'm here to listen to your ideas, take the weight off your shoulders and create dynamic results. I'm motivated, super creative and always positive. Think of me like your number one cheerleader. Whilst I'm working on everything that drains your time and energy, you get to focus solely on building your business.

Kelp Collective creative virtual assistant core values

Getting to the core of who I am as a Virtual Assistant is something I've taken the time to deeply understand. These values are essential to my purpose, and guide my working processes consistently.

What's my story?

MY SECRET SAUCE, AND THE REAL REASON I'M ALL ABOUT SMALL BIZ SUPPORT...

Well, here's the truth. I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

I have a Fashion Degree, and after graduating I set up my own small reworked vintage clothing company. It was a dream, and it all happened a lot quicker than I ever thought it would. I sold out at my first market, had consistent interest and enquiries, and after a couple of years I sold a whole collection a reputable surf brand.

But, what no one tells you when you run a small biz, is how hard it is to keep up with everything else. I found myself struggling to make time for the creative side of things, actually making the garments, because of all of the other things I had to do. Which then meant I started rushing the creative process and hating what I was making.

After a lot of soul-searching and some other life changes, I decided to pack away the sewing machine and focus my creative energy elsewhere.

Fast forward a few years, and I look back now and I know if I'd had a VA to help me out, I would have been able to focus a lot more on my business.

I still make clothes but now I just do it for the love of it, and who knows maybe one day I'll start is as a biz again.

But for now, my passion is YOUR small biz. Using the creative, business and admin skills that I've acquired along the way. I know first-hand how hard it can be, and I'm here to be the fairy godmother and make it all better.

Follow the journey.
